GexCon's clients can be found in all branches of industry as well as governments and regulatory bodies. GexCon serves customers from all over the world. The general information provided next illustrates the diversity of our client base.
Many of our important customers include oil & gas companies due to GexCon’s expertise in performing safety assessments for large offshore and onshore facilities (e.g., ExxonMobil, Statoil, TotalFinaElf, Phillips Petroleum, Norsk Hydro, Dupont, Gaz de France). In addition, other engineering and consulting firms (Halliburton, Kværner, Aker, ERM, DnV etc.) utilize GexCon’s services for such safety assessments.
GexCon’s clients also include those from the chemical, pharmaceutical, wood processing and metallurgical industries. GexCon performs ongoing safety assessments as well as explosion testing of materials handled in process installations for companies such as Astra-Zeneca, Pharmacia, BASF, Elkem, Dyno, and Hydro Aluminium. GexCon also performs ongoing testing of equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and for protection against the consequences of explosions for suppliers such as ABB, Kongsberg, 3M, and R&M Industrier.
The FLACS simulation tool is being used in-house by: oil & gas companies and consulting firms including, Norsk Hydro, Statoil, RhodiaTech, Gaz de France, ExxonMobil, TotalFinaElf, Scandpower, Safetech, and DnV; governmental regulatory agencies such as the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC); and national labs such as Sandia National Laboratory (United States) and IRSN - Institut de Radioprotection et de Sûreté Nucléaire (France).
Authoritative bodies such as HSE, NPD, DBE and the US National Transportation Safety Board have used GexCon personnel in safety studies and accident investigations.
